<aside> 💡 Application screening made easy!

The applicant management system uses AI to recommend applicants who are most qualified for your job position.

For example, using the “recommended” sort filter will bring the most qualified applicants to the top of the page, based on the applicant’s experience, skills, Japanese level, and location.

On the other hand, applicants who do not fit the job requirements will not be displayed at the top of the recommended list. Instead, they will be listed as a “Possible Mismatch” at the end of the page.

If you want to view the applications in chronological order instead of the recommended view, you can change the sort accordingly.

<aside> 💡 Automated Rejection Email Feature

There is an option to enable Automated Rejection Emails. Doing so will send an automated email to the applicants that you have sorted or rated as “Not a Fit” for your job post.

➡️ Please see this section about Automated Rejection Email for more details.

How to additionally set up Email Forwarding

<aside> 📩 You can view your applicant information through the Employer Dashboard and Email Forwarding at the same time.

If you would like to receive the applicant’s information through email, you can set up email forwarding to more than one email address on your team.

(Note: Applicants that are tagged as a “Possible Mismatch” will not get sent to your email.)

The subject of emails forwarded will be titled:

“Applicant name - Position name - Japan Dev"

In addition, Japan Dev will automatically send an email to the applicant after they submit their application:

Hey, Thanks for applying for a job through Japan Dev! We’ve confirmed your application and forwarded it to the company. If they’re interested, you’ll hear directly from them soon.

Please contact the applicant directly for any further discussions.

If you make an offer to a candidate and they accept the position, please note that you have 5 business days to report your successful hire to Japan Dev.

Rejection Emails:

There is an option to enable the Automated Rejection Email feature on your employer dashboard.

Enabling this feature will automatically send a rejection email to the applicant via the Japan Dev system whenever an applicant's status is set to "Not a Fit" in the "Rate As" dropdown.

This feature ensures that candidates receive their selection results from your team, leading to a better job application experience.

➡️ Click here for more details on the automated rejection email feature.

Please note that even if you choose not to use the automated rejection email feature, Japan Dev already notifies all applicants via email at the time of application that "the company will often contact candidates only if they are moving forward to the interview stage" (i.e. they may not receive a notification if they do not pass the initial resume screening).

Therefore, please feel free to proceed with whichever method is most convenient for your team's workflow!
